Claims His Kind Appears Only Every 40 Years
The president of Fenerbahce Football Club in Turkey, Ali Koc, stated that the talented Nigerian striker from their rivals, Galatasaray, Victor Osimhen, stands above the Turkish Super Lig.
As per his statement, Ali Koç referred to Osimhen as an exceptional talent, emphasizing that fate played a role in enabling Galatasaray to secure the forward on loan. “Osimhen is not only a remarkable player but one who surpasses Turkish standards,” said Ali Koç to TRT Spor.
The talent of that player (Osimhen) stands out uniquely. Such players come along perhaps once every forty years.” There has been speculation regarding his future with the team. Matters involving accounts, literature, financial records, contracts… As long as everything follows proper procedures, there won’t be any constraints imposed by budget limits!
The president of Fenerbahçe mentioned being subjected to harsh criticism from supporters due to failing to secure Osimhen before Galatasaray did.
His justification lay in the fact that Osimhen wasn’t presented to Fenerbahçe initially, coupled with certain conditions during that period favoring Galatasaray’s acquisition of the player.
“For anyone unfamiliar with how Osimhen moved,” he started, “let me clarify this point; fortune favored Galatasaray.”
“It worked excellently since Mauro Icardi got hurt then. This turned into an unexpected advantage. Had things gone differently, it might’ve posed challenges.”
“Initially, plans placed him heading towards Saudi Arabia where terms seemed settled and formalities completed. However, just prior to finalizing arrangements, the head of Napoli raised the asking price causing potential buyers to withdraw their interest. Consequently, European options became inaccessible leaving Turkey as the sole remaining option.”
“At one moment though, Galatasaray seized this opportunity. We weren’t ever approached concerning acquiring Osimhen.”
“To elaborate further”, he went on saying, “I arrived back home after traveling all night landing early morning in London post-my flight from New York. Feeling exhausted later midday, I rested briefly but upon waking found myself inundated via mobile device with aggressive communications demanding answers. Confused yet curious, I questioned what prompted such reactions—only to discover soon enough why. That same day, apparently unbeknownst to many, Galatasaray managed successfully concluding negotiations securing Osimhen’s services.”
“So again, for clarity,” reiterated the official statement, “it appeared fate itself played a role supporting Galatasaray throughout these developments.
